Description: This sculpture is one of the last works in Whitehead’s Freedom/Progress series. It highlights several cube prisms with three mutually perpendicular drilled holes inside a stylized right triangular prism as a variant of Turner’s Cube. Some of these prisms are perched precariously atop each other, appearing to defy gravity, in upward- pointing steps symbolizing human progress.
